President's Welcome

On the race side, we will again race high-performance carbon Specialized bikes and Zipp wheelsets. We will also sport Specialized helmets this year to keep our collective heads intact, and Rudy Project sunglasses to keep us looking cool.
On Sunday July 11, we will put on the annual Capital Criterium, a US Crit Series race that follows parts of the Presidential inauguration route on Pennsylvania Avenue, with the start/finish line located but a stone's throw from the DC Mayor Adrian Fenty office at City Hall. This April, we will also put on the Carl Dolan Memorial Spring Classic for the 17th consecutive year.
Every year I look forward, as we all do, to the upcoming race season with great excitement and expectation. The past years have greatly exceeded my expectations. I can only hope the trend continues, so that when I sum up year 2010, I can look back with satisfaction over what we were able to accomplish and how the sport of cycling has grown still again.
